Asheboro is an irresistible town located in Randolph County, right in the center of North Carolina, easily accessible from Interstates 40 and 85 via US 220 (Interstate 73-74) and US 64.
Named for North Carolina governor Samuel Ashe and settled around 1740, Asheboro is not only rich in history, but also breathtaking in nature.
Being located in North Carolina, the Asheboro area is assured of four full and beautiful seasons with a wide range of activities possible at different times of the year. There is sailing and hiking in the summer and although we don't get nearly as much snow as our northern neighbors, one can build an occasional snowman in the winter. Spring is a lively, vigorous time of renewal and our autumns are so beautiful that people from all over take vacations at that time so they can take tours of the countryside and view the colorful foliage.
Asheboro also provides an active community with low unemployment, excellent schools, and low crime rates.
