Randolph County is served by two public school systems, Asheboro City Schools and Randolph County Schools. Both the Asheboro City Schools and the Randolph County Schools are fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Randolph Community College Both credit and noncredit classes are offered at Randolph Community College, which is situated near the geographic center of North Carolina, adjacent to the ancient mountains in the area known as the Uwharries. The College is located at 629 Industrial Park Avenue in Asheboro. To reach the Asheboro Campus take the McDowell Road exit off Highway 220 Bypass (Interstate 73-74), just south of the interchange with Highways 64 and 49. The College is 26 miles south of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Interstate Highways 40 and 85, making it accessible from all parts of the state.
